 Designed
by golf legend Greg Norman and architect Ted Robinson, this championship
course offers stunning views of mountains and lush greens, with
the ocean in the distance. One of the highest rated golf courses
in the world, The Experience at Koele begins on a plateau nearly
2,000 feet (610 metres) above sea level, with sweeping views of
Maui and Moloka'i across the ocean channel. From stunning mountain
vistas to lush greens surrounded by century old Cook Pines, a round
at Koele is much more than a game. It is truly an experience for
no other links course in Hawaii, perhaps even the world, offers
such an incredible combination of upland terrain, inspired landscape
architecture, and range of play challenges.  The
"signature hole," Number 17, plays from a spectacular 250-foot elevated
tee to a fairway bordered by a lake along its right side, and trees
and dense shrubs along its left. The course's back nine drops dramatically
through ravines wooded with pine, koa and eucalyptus trees. Water
features, a Ted Robinson trademark, are everywhere: seven lakes,
flowing streams with cascading waterfalls, and one green, Number
17, that is completely surrounded by a beautiful lake. |
